Yesterday I was invited by Macy’s to attend an exclusive press event for Martha Stewart at their San Francisco store.  To say I was thrilled to be invited was an understatement.  I have been a great fan of Martha Stewart’s for many years and am always inspired by her ideas and suggestions.  She was in town as part of a multi store tour promoting her new book, Martha’s Entertaining. It’s a gorgeous coffee table book with beautiful ideas and recipes to entertain in style.

I along with an intimate group of tastemakers started at the Four Seasons for a delicious brunch before heading over to the press event at Macy’s.  It was a perfect way to start a fun Saturday morning.  Once we got to Macy’s we were escorted to the front row to watch Martha prepare a delicious meal of Braised Chicken & Dates, Cous Cous, and a Pear Tart for dessert.  It was such an easy meal to prepare, I am excited to make it for my next dinner party.  After the cooking demo we all had the opportunity to meet Martha.  It was a great start to an amazing Saturday!

I have been devouring all of the great entertaining ideas and yummy recipes in Martha’s new book that was kindly gifted to us by Macy’s.  I have so many new ideas for fun events, now I just have to find the time and willing participants!
