Happy Friday!  It’s the weekend…finally! And I couldn’t be more excited.  The weather has been beautiful all week and I can’t wait to play outside all weekend.  With each week seeming to get busier and busier I love the weekends when I’m at home and get to spend quality time with family and friends.

The great thing about my weekend is that I have no plans and couldn’t be happier.

Chic Picnic

Here are some things to try this weekend:  Sleep in late. Use the good china.  Something my Grandma taught me. Have a picnic.  This Snap Pea Pasta recipe looks amazing. If you live in SF, the Cherry Blossom Festival is always a fun to attend. Isn't this the perfect summer dress to add to your wardrobe?

Have a great weekend my loves.  What fun things do you have planned for this weekend?

I can hardly believe it's the Holidays already.  I love this time of year.  It's all about fetes, planning festive party attire and spending time with family and friends.  It's such a magical time of year. But it's also about gifts and shopping for friends and family.  There's nothing I love more than seeing my loved ones light up when they open their gifts. It's all about spoiling as far as I'm concerned.  Curious to see what would be on my wish list?

What are you wishing for this year?

1. Chanel Book Set 2. Sunnies 3. Glitter Belt 4. Studded Clutch 5. Color-block Heels 6. Backgammon Set 7. iPad Clutch 8. Pencil Sharpener 9. Fur Collar  10. Leather Gloves

I am finding it a bit hard to get back to "reality" this week. The past 10 days have been so relaxing and fun with a few days stay at the Peninsula in Beverly Hills and ending the week in Cabo.  I truly forgot what doing nothing felt like.  It was amazing. We started most of our days with yoga overlooking the beach, followed by lounging in the sun and just relaxing.  I managed to read three books while away...a true luxury in my crazy life!  Here's a small recap of my amazing week.  Now it's back to reality and time for decorating. Happy Monday!

Thought I'd share a few snapshots of our Thanksgiving celebrations last week.  We had such a great time with family and friends.  I think I am finally out of the turkey coma!  Now on to planning for the next holiday.

Decided to create a gold & silver Thanksgiving table this year.

I love mixing fresh veggies and flowers in my table decor.

This is what I plan on doing this weekend...what are your plans?

Happy Weekend.

A beautiful handbag can update your wardrobe and take you from dull to stylish in an instant.  A good strategy in keeping your wardrobe looking updated and fresh is to invest in a great handbag.  Choosing a well made handbag that is simple without a lot of embellishments will guarantee you use for seasons to come. Though embellished handbags will be on-trend for fall, so be adventurous!  The weather may be hot outside, but I can't seem to get Fall 2012 off my mind.  There are some gorgeous handbag trends to look forward to such as minimal shapes, not-so-basic black, daytime clutches and calf hair.  Great enhancers for any wardrobe especially for work!

Speaking of not so basic black...I couldn't wait till Fall to play with my new addition and just had to share. (Thank you to Stuart Weitzman for my lovely gift.) You can check out more images and outtakes on our Facebook page including what's inside my bag! Make sure to "Like" us while you are there.

What handbag trend(s) are you most looking forward to adding to your wardrobe this upcoming Fall season?

A few snapshots of how I get my day started, and what my current favorite go-to beauty products are lately.

This is my secret weapon for great looking skin.  Pur-lisse is amazing.

Every morning I start my day off with a cup of hot water and fresh lemon.  I learned the beauty secret from Jennifer Yen, founder of Pur-lisse.  Trust me if you saw her skin you would be doing the same thing.  One word, flawless.

My make-up routine is fairly basic durning the week. I'm a Giorgio  Armani girl. Most mornings I use: Lasting Silk Foundation, Sheer Pink Blush, Eyes to Kill Mascara, Lip Gloss (shimmer pink) and Nars Orgasm Illuminator.

My engagement ring, wedding bands and Cartier watch from my hubby are my everyday staples.

Breakfast lately has been one of my Green Goodness Smoothies.  It's a great way to get the day started.  You can view the recipe here.

It seems every other month I experience a bit of wanderlust.  I can't  help it...there are so many amazing places to visit.  I know some of you know from previous posts, that my darling husband and I were lucky enough to travel around the world a few years back.  It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life, and I'm constantly wanting to do it all over again.  Can you guess what I was asked the most?

"How do you pack for such a long trip?"

That's another post!  But, whether I'm traveling for a big vacation or a short business trip there are a few accessories I always like to have in my carry-on.

1. A great carry-on bag. Besides just using this bag on the airplane to carry all of my essential accessories, I choose a bag that I can easily bring poolside or to dinner.  A classic black bag with a bit of sparkle will be ready for anything. 2. Colorful wrap. I always seem to be cold on airplanes so I always have a wrap in my bag to use as a cozy blanket.  A fun printed, gauzy scarf is perfect for summer travels as it can be worn as a sarong by the pool or paired with your favorite sundress for dinner.  It's also a great way to add color to your travel wardrobe if you just pack one bag (like I do) to change up your looks. 3. Travel size perfume. I love perfume. It can change your mood instantly with just one spray.  I have so many favorite scents, but since I never check a bag I can't travel with my large bottles.  Currently my favorite scent is by Kilian called "Don't be Shy."  It's absolutely intoxicating.  Thankfully they have a beautiful travel size of the scent with refillable containers so you never run out. 4. Hand sanitizer. Traveling can be a bit gross at times with having to touch things that others have touched before you.  Ok, so I might have a slight obsession with clean hands! I was introduced to the Eve Echo line last year and instantly fell in love.  Besides delicious smelling hand soaps, they have traveling hand sanitizers that don't use alcohol like most other brands do.  So your hands are clean and soft.  You can always find one in my bag.  And the cherry on top is that proceeds help fund loans to women living in challenging economies.  Amazing product and cause! 5. Sunnies. It goes without saying that sunnies go hand in hand with traveling.  I'm currently loving my Stella McCartney's, simple yet modern. 6. Journal. In this modern age of technology and capturing everything on an iSomething I still like old-school pen and paper. I have journals from my travels that I go back to reference some of the best places I found to eat or stay.  Or where I found that hidden gem of boutique.  I also like to keep tickets and other keepsakes in the same place. 7. iPad. And jumping from old-school to today, I would be lost without my iPad.  I get caught up on my reading on the plane and even get in some work if I'm feeling the need.  It's my portable entertainment. 8. Luxe City Guides. Anytime I travel to a new city that has a Luxe City Guide I'm so excited.  They are the best guides you will find and small enough to fit into a pocket or purse without lugging around a 5lb. book.  They highlight the best the city has to offer.  These guides are a must when traveling.  They are updated regularly.  Most of the guides are offered as as app as well, so if you tight on space (not that they take up much) just download the city guide straight to your phone.

So where are you traveling this summer? Share your answers below.

Shooting the photos for ALDO's "The Other Bag" campaign was a blast.  The pictures turned out amazing, but there was so much happening behind the scenes to make it all happen.  Being in front of the camera is not something I do often.  I am used to styling the model(s) and being one of the ones behind the scenes to create the overall look.  After shooting for two full days, I have a new appreciation for models.  It's hard work!

Enjoy scrolling through the final photos.  Make sure to scroll to the bottom to check out behind-the-scene shots.

Getting some great shots with the beautiful afternoon light

We decided to highlight the modern Californian lifestyle of the woman on the move for this shoot.  Santa Monica was chosen and proved to be the perfect location.  There was so much that had to be done before we even started the shoot.  Permits had to be obtained so we could shoot all over the city, clothes and accessories pulled and the fridge stocked full of Diet Coke!

We had an amazing backdrop at the Shangri-La Hotel in Santa Monica.

We consumed at least six cheese plates during our shoot.

We got some great shots around Shangri-la's pool.  Loving the ALDO Rise shoes.

Checking emails and keeping warm in between shots.

As with any shoot, there was a lot of standing around, adjusting the lighting, changing outfits and consuming vast amounts of caffeine.

We even made it to the airport for this shoot

Look at the gorgeous LA backdrop

SO...WHAT'S IN YOUR OTHER BAG?

I want to know what's in your bag.  Leave a comment here or post a picture to my Facebook or Twitter.  Make sure to use the #TOBbyALDO hashtag.

I just got to Austin for SXSW, so make sure to follow me on Twitter or Instagram to see the adventures of my Other Bag this week.

All tote bags and were given to me to use for this campaign by ALDO. While I have been compensated to be apart of this campaign all thoughts and views are mine.

It was a sad day for me when Tom Ford left Gucci. Thankfully he wasn't gone long.  Since leaving Gucci he has started his own line which includes beauty, menswear, womanswear and now eyewear. Tom Ford announces the launch of a special edition luxurious collection of optical frames. Inspired by the enduring elegance of 1950s eyewear, Ford has created a new frame for women and men made of the finest quality gold-plated metal with precious water buffalo horn on the front and the temple tips. These gently retro-influenced frames represent the highest levels of design and fabrication in eyewear. Subtly luxurious and crafted with meticulous workmanship, the two styles are some of the most refined ever offered by TOM FORD EYEWEAR. The frames and its leather case are presented in a luxurious, Bakelite box with a soft brown lining. A certificate of authenticity and a special cleansing cream and chamois cloth are provided to care for the water buffalo horn, which may appear slightly different on every frame due to its organic origin.

The frames will be available for $2,950 in Tom Ford boutiques and select luxury department stores.

I don't wear glasses, but these are beyond beautiful and my eyesight might suddenly decline!
