Neiman Marcus Introduces Mobile Personal Assistant App
Neiman Marcus has been busy introducing innovative online and mobile campaigns and collaborations lately. This past week they just announced a partnership collection with Target and 24 hand-picked CFDA designers to be released in time for holiday.
Neiman Marcus has also introduced the NM Service app which was developed by Signature Labs, Inc. Ginger Reeder, VP of Corporate Communications, tells us “the app bridges the gap between the sales associate and the shopper taking the Neiman Marcus personal shopping service to the next level. “
Shoppers sign into the free iPhone app using their Facebook profile. If they “opt-in” to the service, a sensor will detect once they walk into a Neiman Marcus store alerting a sales associate. If customers would like to browse first, they can choose to check into the app at any time. The app allows a sales associate to see a customer’s shopping history and displays their Facebook photograph so they are easily recognized.
Outside of the store, customers are able to browse the app and mark their favorite products, which will automatically be visible to selected sales associates. The NM Service also provides information on new products and trends, store events, as well as a listing of all the sales staff currently in-store.
The iPhone app is currently being tested in the Austin, Dallas, San Francisco and Palo Alto store locations. As Reeder explains, “We determined these store markets would give us good variety to our test markets.” Visit the iTunes store to download the NM Service app.
